We're seeking an expert engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality products and building the automation that ensures it. You'll be a key member of our Automation team working closely with the infrastructure and product development teams to enable the continual delivery of our platform.
*Enhance the infrastructure to improve our ability to scale, become increasingly more automated with a goal towards self-healing systems.
*Drive innovation by proposing and leading implementations that improve our Time to Production.
*Design and develop CI/CD pipeline using modern approaches to deliver a scaled web platform.
*Translate initiatives/projects into epics, writing stories, and leading implementation.
*Take part in peer code review and acceptance testing.
*Work with development teams to identify friction points to the development process and collaborate on solutions.
*Promote DevOps as a culture and build the tools that allow for teams to move quickly and safely.
*4+ years experience designing, developing and optimizing automated integration and software release delivery systems.
*Solid experience running production workloads in an AWS environment. Internet and Cloud based software architecture knowledge.
*Strong scripting expertise in Python or Ruby. Proficiency in Linux shell.
*Familiarity of popular configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Terraform or CloudFormation.
*Solid experience and knowledge in building automated environments through virtualization (Vagrant, Docker, Kubernetes)
*Experience with monitoring software and services (e.g, Nagios, Pingdom, PagerDuty).
*Solid understanding of functional and object oriented programming concepts.
*Deep knowledge of test methodologies and standard methodologies for software development.
